Does Lyme disease pass from generation to generation?

lyme

How do you deal with news that you tested positive for Lyme disease when you don’t recall ever being bitten by a tick, and you’ve never had that telltale bullseye rash?

This is the question we are currently asking the CDC and our government officials.

We believe, armed with evidence from our Lyme community’s own genetic testing results, that it is possible for a mother with active Lyme disease to pass it on to their unborn child. There have been several studies conducted in relation to this sort of question, some of which are referenced below. If we can prove this, there are treatments that can be given to a pre-pregnant and pregnant mother to help stop the spread of this horrible disease from mother to fetus. We can slow down the spread.
