We exist to provoke systematic change in the awareness, treatment, and protection of those afflicted by Lyme disease. As an advocate, Lyme Justice demands action from governments and the medical community in hearing the voices of those suffering from the disease. We exist to challenge the powers that be and ask for more science, more research, and more investigation into the spread, affects, and treatment of Lyme disease. Lyme Justice is here to let the world know—right now—what needs to change to ensure the Lyme disease community is protected and that the disease does not proliferate.
Founded in 2020 by Utah CEO Karma Newberry, Lyme Justice grew out of her own fight with Lyme disease. Growing up in the small town of Grantsville in Utah’s West Desert, Karma believes she was infected with Lyme disease at an early age from weaponized Lyme disease chemical testing that occurred in the late 60’s via the U.S. Department of Defense’s nearby Dugway Proving Grounds. After suffering for decades from the effects of chronic Lyme Disease, Karma looked beyond traditional medicine and the limited Lyme disease treatments available to discover that the most effective treatments and most comprehensive Lyme disease research simply wasn’t widely available to the public—nor well known.
Creating Lyme Justice, Karma and her team are dedicated to tackling the injustices and inequities that exist in the medical, insurance, and legislative communities when it comes to Lyme disease, as well as public access to effective, affordable treatments and Lyme-literate medical professionals. Her message to those who are suffering as she has is simple:

“You can get your life back, you don’t have to be stuck behind 25 prescriptions, and you can get into remission with the right treatments.”
